The developers meeting of 07.01.24 decided that transactions should be implemented for 2.0. To this end a project will be opened (we still have to vote for this). For the time being Nico is the project manager.
The present situation is far from optimal: every update causes the caches to refresh, transaction management is implemented in the core and in the bridge, etc.
Steps:
- Elaborate on Nico's document
- Implement transactions properly
- The transaction functionality in the editwizards and the bridge can then be removed.
