The configuration files for the MMBase core are now stored in the
      /mmbase/config/ directory.

This config file for core component can therefore be found in
      /mmbase/config/components/core.xml

The files for the MMBase core should be moved to /mmbase/core/

Note: see also the proposal for the new directory structure at the end of the components.xml documentation.
