Generic and reusable functionality for external content providers (institutions and/or projects) to build their own 'branded' portals on top of the platform. Several features can be changed for a portal:
- name
- logo
- description
- stylesheet (css)
- news articles
A portal gets it content from:
- all content uploaded by its portal manager
- a filter (with Lucene) based on: users, tags, keywords
Besides the above portal manager can exclude certain media items from their portal on a case-by-case basis.
